View Full Version : Vista question
just got a new work laptop with Vista Business as the installed OS. Just playing around with it, I want to be able to alt-tab between applications, but utilise the sexy windows thing that show each window appearing in front of each other.
Apparently it's a setting somewhere so question is, where is the setting. I know the feature is a resource hog, but I just want to play with it

If Windows Aero isn't turned on you should turn it on, it will give transparency effects ...etc

sorry bruv cant help you with this but i do have a question. what is ur opinion of vista, and are you using windows 7 if so what do you think.
im using XP and thinking about changing, your thoughts could prove to be vital.
Windows Key + Tab does jack :(
Aero is definitely the key. I have vista business which according to the MSFT website, aero is included. How do I turn it on?
Sorted!
Saqib and Adood combined were spot on
Turned on aero and windows key + Tab gets it working. So sick :D
Also if you press Ctrl then select two or more icons on the taskbar, like one excel and one internet explorer, you can right click and select, side by side settings, so having both open at the same time on the screen.
I use that all the time.
Sweet! But wasted on a 13" screen :( Will upgrade the home computer to Vista at some point if I can be bothered, the dual screen setup should be able to take advantage of it.
The new laptop I've got is a Dell XPS M1330, decent piece of kit. One thing though, this, and my previous Del. Underneath the battery compartment is a SIM slot. How do I get that bad boy working?
LOL I was going to get that laptop myself! Ended up getting the XPS Studio 13 instead, well whenever it finally gets here!
Oh also as you have Vista Business you will find that videos wont play on WMP, you will need to "get" an add-on to get them working
