Passport validity for spain [Archive]

I may be going to Spain for a day. If i do, my passport expires a day after returning to the UK.

Would that be ok or will I need to renew it?

I have had mixed opinions on this

To travel anywhere on a passport requires 6 months validity minimum.

Suggest you go and renew it mate, only takes a day to do.

Spoke to Both the FCO and the Airline. Both said that I CAN travel on my passport as long as I am back before the expiry date.

I need to renew it when I'm back so I might as well do it now

Huzi I wouldn't trust the system at all, get it in writing then atleast u can back it up,
My cous had a prob with his son traveling, he was 14 at the time and needed to travel on a plane, the airline said it would be fine, when he got to the airport the airline refused for him to travel without an parent or guardian.
